Artist's Comments
This print was a technical esperiment.
I wanted to try using the same plate shifted over and overlapping to get the repetition effect. This involved using T-and-bar registration on the side of the paper as opposed to the ends. I measured out 5 separate T-and-bar marks on the sides of the sheet, then each time I printed I aligned my photoplate with the next marks. As you can see the registration isn't perfect (I was a novice lithographer at the time), and initially I wasn't very happy with the print, but it's grown on me over time. |
